Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for photo shoots between Lena Schneider Studio (hereinafter referred to as the “Photographer”) and its clients (hereinafter referred to as the “Client”). By booking a photo shoot through the website, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking & Payment

• You can book a photo shoot through the photographer's website.

• A deposit of 100 euros is required to confirm the reservation.

• The remaining balance must be paid no later than the day of the shoot.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

• The $100 deposit is non-refundable.

• An exception applies if the cancellation is due to health reasons. In this case, the deposit may be refunded or applied toward a new photo shoot. The photographer may require proof in the form of a doctor’s note.

• A one-time rescheduling is possible upon agreement and subject to availability.

4. Conducting the photo shoot

• The photo shoot will take place in a photo studio or as an underwater shoot in the photographer’s private pool.

• Professional makeup and hair styling are not included in the shoot price, but can be booked upon request for an additional fee.

• The photographer assumes no liability for skin irritations or allergic reactions to the styling products used.

• The photographer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the photo shoot due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, technical issues). In such cases, an alternative date will be arranged or the deposit will be refunded.

5. Image Editing & Delivery

• The customer receives professionally edited images in digital format. The customer selects which images to keep.

• Raw files (unedited images) will not be released.

• Additional photo products can be ordered for an extra charge.

5a. Image Editing & Retouching

The image editing included in the photo shoot package consists of high-quality, professional retouching in the photographer’s signature style. This includes, in particular:

  • Adjusting brightness, contrast, colors, and the image frame,

  • Removal of distracting elements (e.g., tripods in the background),

  • natural skin retouching (smoothing, tone correction, removal of temporary blemishes),

  • Fine-tuning of light and shadow to optimize the visual impact.

The following are not included in the standard retouching service:

  • the removal or alteration of visible underwear, tattoos, large scars, or piercings,

  • adding, replacing, or creating objects, people, or elements (e.g., text, flowers, computer-generated backgrounds, AI-generated elements, etc.),

  • the digital alteration of body shapes, hairstyles, facial features, or poses.

Such special requests are generally possible, but they require separate arrangements and will be billed additionally based on the time and effort involved.

6. Rights of Use & Copyright

• The photographer retains the copyright to the images.

• The customer is granted a private right of use. Commercial use or disclosure to third parties is permitted only with written consent.

         • The photographer may use the photos for her portfolio, social media, or promotional purposes, provided the client agrees.

7. Liability

• The photographer is not liable for damages resulting from force majeure or technical malfunctions.

• The customer is responsible for his or her own safety, especially during underwater shoots.

8. Final Provisions

• The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply.

• The place of jurisdiction is Osnabrück.
